Sunrise at the Grand Canyon
No matter the time of day or the time of year, the Grand Canyon packs a large "wow" factor. President Theodore Roosevelt was a major proponent of preservation of the Grand Canyon area and probably enjoyed this same view. The earth's geological history has been exposed as the Colorado River and its tributaries cut their channels through layer after layer of rock .
