Morning Mist on the Snake River Backwater
When the sun finally rises above the mountains to the east, there are only moments to catch the morning mist on the river and the fire in the sky. Its easy to see why people like Thomas Moran, Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden and John Wesley Power loved the west. It was vast, beautiful, pristine, and awe inspiring. More than 1,000 species of plants, dozens of species of mammals, 300 species of birds, and more than a dozen fish species exist in Grand Teton National Park.
